This morning I had a finger check up at the hospital. It wasn't very pleasant as I had both a nurse that couldn't speak English and the surgeon whose English isn't great. He also pulled off the skin graft with no warning, and only apologised when it was obvious that it hurt. I didn't think that was very nice at all. *pouts*
Anyway, he was happy with the healing process of the wound, and said that I only have to bandage it up for another seven to ten days. It'll be the first time since mid-September that my finger hasn't been bandaged up. I wonder if people will notice that I don't have a fingernail there...
He also gave me the pathology results of the samples which they removed, and good news, they didn't find any abnormal cells, though they can't be sure that all of the lesion was removed. So I have a control check up in a couple of months time, when I will also have to ask them to give me a copy of all my files so it can be followed up back home.
I'm so glad that it's supposedly all over. I was having dreams that I had streaks on my other fingernails and also had to get them removed. I do hope it is really all over. I would hate for there to be another regrowth, though the fact they there weren't any abnormal cells in the samples is very encouraging.
