Readers...

even though most of you don't comment, I know you're out there... and here's how I know:
  • according to Google Reader, I have 12 people subscribed to my blog, who I can't find the identity of, or at least if I can, I don't know how to

  • according to Blogspot, another 2, though they might be a subset of the Google Reader ones, and they are only the public ones, so there could be more

  • but most telling, according to Google Analytics, over the past month, I have had 62 absolutely unique visitors, which I know really just means 62 different IP addresses. The thing which disturbs me though, is the fact that I can't figure out who some of you are, even with the amazingly detailed IP locator, at least in the US anyway.
Now obviously, I can't stop any of you from reading something I've made public, but it would be nice to have some feedback every so often, so leave a comment or email me or if you don't want to be public. I'm so glad I added the profiling code to the blog, otherwise I would feel like nobody was reading it and given up long ago. This takes up a fair amount of time you know, so it would be nice to feel like it was appreciated. Suggestions are also welcome and like all comments to papers and theses, I promise to consider every single one of them. *winks*

Oooh this was revealing! I didn't imagine that Anja and Denis were readers. Yay Anna, I love your updates. I only wish I was dedicated enough to update about Melbourne for something for you to read.

hi anna! this is the second (?) time I've looked at your blog... saw it when you advertised on your facebook. I really like all the bits about switzerland... my mums family is from the canton Luzern (lucerne in english) so I've been there a bit... I love the city and countryside around there! Also had a great uncle who was a monk in Engelberg... and the very first 2 (4 total) times I've skied have been there :-) The first time must have been at the same place you were learning. The second was the easy run from the top to the bottom... Anyway, hope all is well and that you're still enjoying the Schweiz and the phd! Angela.
