So Obama has won the US Election, to the relief to almost all the people I know, both American and otherwise, including me. In my uninformed opinion, which doesn't really mater in the end, he is the better candidate for the job.
It has been somewhat intriguing to see the international interest in this particular election. There was so much in the papers at home earlier this year with the preliminaries and Clinton and Obama. Last election, I was in LA and there wasn't that much coverage about it within the country and nobody at home knew about them. And then, there was the decision for Palin to be the on the McCain ticket, which was much commented on. And then all the coverage and conversations and events over the past week.
No other country's election would create so much dicussion. But then, I guess, no other country really affects the rest of the world as much as the US of A.
