Fingernail Check Up

I was quite looking forward to the check up I had today, firstly because my skin graft had fallen off last week and before that, I had found a thread protruding from my hip scar which hurt when I touched it, so I was kind of worried about the progress of the healing.

So after a small mix up at the hospital where I was waiting for half an hour outside my doctor's office while she was calling up the reception desk to ask where I was, it turns out all is okay.

Kind of. She wasn't too worried about the skin graft falling off as only the top layer fell off and the lower layers are still there and helping new skin form. She was more worried about a red bump in the middle of my fingernail region, and gave me some cream to put on it to stop it from growing. And the plastic thread coming out of my hip scar was from lower level stitches where the tread is supposed to dissolve, so she does cut it off, and then gave me another cream for the area to stop help it settle down.

So now I have one cream for my hip, which I need to apply every night before I rebandage the wound with a compress then the tape, and two creams for my fingernail, one I have to apply once every two days and the other every day before rebanaging with the adaptic, then a compress and tape. Luckily, I'm getting quite good at the bandaging with my left hand...
