Today I had a check up which was supposed to happen last week, but I misread both the day (mardi->mercredi) and the date (25->26) on my appointment card and missed it, and had to ask my office mate to call up and make another appointment for me. It was better this way anyway, as my usual doctor was there and last week she wasn't so I was going to see her replacement, whose English isn't as good.
Basically, all is well; even with the darker spot near the tip of my finger, the red spot in the middle of the nail area, and what I thought was my cuticle growing back is actually nail, meaning they didn't remove all of the germinal matrix; and I have to relax, it won't be fully healed for about a year after the operation, so anything I see now is just intermediary. Oh, my hip is also healing okay, less red, though still swollen, but that can be fixed with cortisone injections if needed.
My next check up will be after I come back next year, with both my doctor and my surgeon.
